Inspections
24-Hour Notice is Required for all Inspections
Inspections are conducted Monday-Friday. Inspections requested by 4:00 PM will be scheduled for the next business day.

When calling or emailing your request, please make sure you have the following information:
- property address;
- permit number(s);
- requests inspection time (can be general, such as morning or afternoon or a specific time);
- type of inspection(s);
- onsite contact name, phone number, and email address; and
- any special instructions.
Inspections will not be performed without the required permits. A City of Ketchum issued building permit must be visibly posted onsite and approved plans must be on the job site. The contractor, agent, or owner must be present at time of inspection.
All mechanical, electrical and plumbing inspections are handled by the State of Idaho. To schedule a mechanical, electrical or plumbing permit you can do so online at eTRAKiT or by calling 208.332-4700. The State also offers instructions on how to schedule these inspections.
