Parking in Ketchum (Year-Round)
The City of Ketchum strives to provide safe, efficient, and convenient public parking year-round. Due to high parking demand during events or popular tourism seasons, we ask everyone to consider public transportation, walking, cycling, or other non-motorized transportation to get around. Plus, Mountain Rides’ bus service is free! (Click here for routes and schedules.) If you must drive and park, please keep the following points in mind.
Parking in Spaces Designed for You
CUSTOMERS: SHORT-TERM PARKING (2-HOURS OR LESS)
The community has identified customer parking as a priority over residential and employee parking. Our economy depends on it! Ketchum’s parking management plan accommodates high volumes of customer parking near businesses first. These spaces are marked with signs limiting parking to two hours or less. Only customers should use these spaces to ensure patrons have a short walk to storefronts.
RESIDENTS AND EMPLOYEES: LONG-TERM PARKING (UNRESTRICTED)
Long-term (unrestricted) parking spaces are available throughout town, on-street and in public lots at Washington Avenue and 1st Street and Leadville Avenue and 6th Street. Residents and employees should always use long-term parking, even if it is a block or two away. Otherwise, you are taking parking away from customers and hurting businesses’ bottom line.
Paid Parking
All on-street parking in Ketchum is free. Parking in the Washington Avenue/1st Street lot is free as well, but payment is required to use the Leadville Avenue/6th Street lot. The city uses a pay-by-plate system, called Flowbird, at this location. Follow the signs onsite and use the kiosk at the lot, or visit flowbirdapp.com and install the app on your mobile device, to pay for parking. Please see the table below for paid parking fees.
