DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 

The proposed project consists of the construction of new water infrastructure to functionally replace existing water main in State Highway 75 Idaho Transportation Department right-of-way. New water infrastructure east of State Highway 75 is proposed beginning adjacent to the south of 702 S Main Street and ending in Farnlun Place. New water infrastructure west of State Highway 75 is proposed beginning at Serenade Lane and ending adjacent to the north of Glade Court. Work is to be constructed in conjunction with Idaho Transportation Department SH-75, Elkhorn Rd to River St, Ketchum project. Work includes

  • Demolition: includes sawcut and asphalt/ concrete or landscape removal necessary for the installation of Water Infrastructure.
  • Water Infrastructure: includes but is not limited to water main line, associated appurtenances/fittings, fire hydrant connections, and reuse irrigation service installation. All trenching shall be backfilled for temporary vehicular access per Water Construction Drawings.
  • Surface and Landscape Repair: includes but is not limited to the repair of surface and landscape improvements, i.e. asphalt, vegetation, irrigation, fencing, etc. The Contractor shall clean up the site after construction so that it is in a condition equal to or better than that which existed prior to construction.
  • Traffic Control: includes preparation and implementation of traffic control plan and road closure schedule consistent with MUTCD standards. Farlun Place closures shall be coordinated with City of Ketchum for impacted neighbor notifications.

The Contractor shall be responsible for hiring a Materials Testing Company during construction per the Construction Drawings. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining acceptance of work from the City of Ketchum.

RECEIPT OF BIDS: 
Sealed or electronic bids for the construction of the MAIN STREET WATER MAIN RELOCATION PROJECT A addressed to “The City of Ketchum” will be received until 3:00 PM, Local Time, on Monday, January 20, 2025.

  • Bids must be delivered to the City Clerk of the City of Ketchum, Idaho, at Ketchum City Hall, 191 5th Street West or mailed to PO Box 2315, Ketchum, Idaho, 83340 OR emailed to Trent Donat at tdonat@ketchumidaho.org in PDF format.
  • Electronic bids shall be submitted in one single PDF file with the file name “South Ketchum Redundant Water Main, Project A_[contractor name]_ 2025-01-20.pdf.”  The subject line of the bid submission email shall be “BID ATTACHED:  South Ketchum Redundant Water Main, Project A – [contractor name]”.
