Forest Service Park
Forest Service Park is located one block west of Main Street on the south edge of downtown Ketchum. It is a quiet location with stunning views and Engelmann spruce trees that were planted in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps when the site was a U.S. Forest Service compound. The property was acquired by the city of Ketchum through a citizen-driven effort. The park is frequented by locals on their lunch breaks and dog walks. Visitors and locals alike enjoy its historic feel. The buildings on the north side of the park are now home to the Sun Valley Museum of History operated through a lease from the city by The Community Library. On Tuesday evenings during the summer, this park is the venue for Ketch’em Alive, a popular concert series with live music, dancing, and a rotation of beverage and food vendors.
Forest Service Park may be reserved year-round and the public restroom remains open through winter. Be aware that facilities and maintenance employees remove snow only from the paver pathways through the park. A Special Event Application and Park Reservation Application are required for events at Forest Service Park.
