City Art Collection

The City’s art collection includes the works of both regional and internationally renowned artists, working in a variety of media and supports the work of emerging and established artists. The City Art Collection is funded by private donations as well as a Percent for Art Ordinance, which stipulates that five percent of capital infrastructure project costs be allocated for the integration of art pertaining to the project. Five percent for art is among the highest percentage in the country.

Ketchum’s art collection is valued at over $500,000. Many of the works in the collection were funded by private donation, Percent for Art, City allocated funds for KAC projects, grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, and Idaho Commission on the Arts.

Private citizens have donated artwork for display throughout the city. The City and KAC welcome collaborations with private citizens who wish to donate works.

If you would like to donate artwork to the city or sponsor a KAC initiative, please contact participate@ketchumidaho.org.

Charitable gifts to the City of Ketchum are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
