Ketchum Hosts Proterra Presentation on E-Bus

KETCHUM, Idaho –The city of Ketchum will host a presentation by Ryan Popple, CEO of Proterra, the leading innovator in the heavy-duty electric vehicle industry. Proterra, was founded in 2004 in Golden Colorado and provides the latest technology in public transportation.

The presentation will take place on Monday, Feb. 25, at 11:30 a.m. in Ketchum City Hall.

The community will have a chance to ride the electric bus between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Feb. 25. The roundtrip route starts at Mountain Rides’ southern depot with stops in Bellevue, Hailey, Sun Valley and Ketchum. The bus will also be parked near the Ore Wagon Museum during the presentation.

“The concept of adding an e-bus to the valley’s fleet aligns with the city’s goals to promote a sustainable environment,” said Mayor Neil Bradshaw. “The Proterra presentation will give us all an opportunity to learn more about the benefits,” he added.
