Join the City of Ketchum in Celebrating Summer’s Start
KETCHUM, IDAHO – The City of Ketchum is inviting residents and visitors to come on down to Town Square and celebrate as the longest day of the year gives way to our brilliant dark and starry skies.
The city’s first-ever Summer Solstice bash is planned for Thursday, June 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. The family-friendly event marking the start of the summer season includes a balloon clown, face painters, jugglers, magicians and art activities designed just for kids.
There will also be local food and beverage vendors, and Nate Botsford and Band are booked to play a pair of 90-minute sets.
Look forward to special programming to celebrate June as “Dark Sky Month,” as well as the city’s status as a Dark Sky Community and its inclusion in the nation’s first Dark Sky Reserve.
