Current construction schedule has changed due to unavailability of contractors and materials

June 24 Main Street Updates

The current Main Street closure from 2nd to 4th Street, including sidewalk demolition, curbs and gutter installation, and roadway repaving, was originally scheduled to be completed in early July. Unavailability of supplies and contractors has pushed completion in the area back to July 22. Despite this delay, the overall project from River through 6th Street remains on track for an end-of-October completion. Intermittent sidewalk closures are also expected in the area through July 21. Idaho Power is working on 2nd Street from Walnut to Spruce Avenue through July 3. Currently, traffic not stopping in Ketchum should take the detour route (Serenade through 2nd Avenue to 10th Street).

Updated construction phasing reflecting this change in schedule is now available at projectketchum.org/main-street.

UP NEXT

Pedestrian access will be open at Sun Valley Road and Main Street over the Fourth of July Weekend. Main Street sidewalk paver installation is expected to take place July 23 through August 8 between 2nd and 4th Street. Expect intermittent closures during this installation. Pavers will be installed on the west side beginning at 2nd Street and will move north. Work on the east side will begin at 4th Street and will move south. Pedestrian access will be open during paver installation. The roadway will have one lane north and one lane south open for for vehicular travel during paver installation.

Idaho Power work is planned to move between Walnut and Spruce Avenue on 2nd Street and on Spruce Avenue from 2nd to Sun Valley Road July 8 through August 2.
