15th Annual Chuck Gates Junior Golf Tournament Returns July 20th

KETCHUM, IDAHO – The city of Ketchum’s 15th annual Chuck Gates Junior Golf Tournament for ages 7 to 18 will be held at the Bigwood Golf Course on Friday, July 20, at 1 p.m.

The $15 entry fee includes a barbecue following the tournament. Flights of three, six and nine holes are available. Some golf experience is necessary.

Volunteer scorers are always needed and are asked to contact Kearney directly.

Additional sponsors are the Chuck Gates Youth Endowment, Bigwood Golf Course and Bigwood Bar & Grill.

The foundation was established in 2002 in honor of the late Chuck Gates, one of the founders of the Idaho Mountain Express. “The endowment has been very beneficial to our program and department for more than 15 years,” Kearney said. “Thanks again to Roger Roland, President of the Board of Directors of the Chuck Gates Youth Endowment, for his work in raising funds for the endowment, and promoting youth golf throughout the valley.”
