Environment
The City of Ketchum is committed to preserving our environmental assets through a variety of activities. These include sustainable development initiatives to adopt codes that go beyond the minimum requirements for conserving energy, water, resources and for providing a healthy indoor environment. They also include educational outreach to the community, providing classes and presentations on topics concerning environmental issues. The City also has participated in Idaho Power’s Custom Efficiency Program, installing high efficiency light bulbs throughout most City departments, resulting in an annual electricity savings of 152,293 kWh. The City provides the community with information on how citizens can also benefit from available programs and agencies that can help them also conserve resources and make more sustainable choices. Please take a look at the subsections of this web page for more information and contact the Planning and Zoning Division with comments, questions or suggestions on this important topic.
